Why many orphans in Kyrgyzstan don't receive state allowance?
Every orphan in the Kyrgyz Republic has a right to receive a monthly social allowance (MSA). While a child is in the orphanage, MSA is accumulated and as soon as the child leaves the institution, the accumulated amount must be given to them. According to the study conducted in 2015 many orphans who have graduated from the orphanage haven't received this allowance. In 2019 when the follow-up study was conducted it was reported that the situation has actually worsened in comparison to the 2015th situation.

Is there a safe place for women in Kyrgyzstan?
According to the National Statistical Committee and non-governmental organizations, women in Kyrgyzstan are safe neither at home, nor outside. Since women often do not report threats or crimes that were committed against them, in reality, the safety of women in Kyrgyzstan might be even worse.
