Tradition ruins women's careers in Uzbekistan
Early marriages are widespread in Uzbekistan. Most girls get married before the age of 24, and many even below 20. Girls forced to get married because of strict conservative traditions. They don’t choose their husbands. Their parents ones who choose. Immediately after marriage girls give birth and than stay at home. Usually married women don’t work, some of them don’t have any degree and all of them no opportunities to build a career. This cultural pattern harms women generation after generation.
